Jesse Keller - President & General Manager

Jesse Keller is the Co-Founder, President, and General Manager of K2 Electric Ltd. In 1999, Jesse along with his business partner Scott Kilburn, founded K2 Electric Ltd; the name K2 to this day represents the initial partnership of Keller & Kilburn. Jesse obtained his Journeyman Electrician Certificate in 1996. In 1997, he obtained his Contractors license and B FSR designation, with A FSR designation achieved in 2008.

Jesse worked primarily in the wood products industry throughout his apprenticeship where he was given the experience and opportunity to prove himself as a foreman / supervisor. Since the inception of K2 Electric Ltd in 1999, Jesse has worked as a senior project manager and company director.

Jesse leads the company both in project management as well as in business decisions and strategies growing K2 Electric Ltd from a small operation to a multidivisional entity.

Terry Esopenko - Operations Manager/Project Manager, Civil Division

Terry has worked in the construction industry for 25 years, obtaining his Journeyman certification in Carpentry in 1996. Since then, he has had active roles in all aspects of the construction building process from the ground up on; Commercial, Hydro, Pulp Mill, MOTH, Industrial, excavations, site services, foundations, carpentry, building packages, and turn key projects.

Throughout Terry’s career he has taken numerous courses for management, supervising, safety, bullying in the workplace, and first aid making him well rounded for dealing with clients, manpower, and the public.

In the past 12 years, he has moved into the Operations / Division Management, Project Management / Project Supervisor roles, allowing him to develop skills with; scheduling, office management, time management, plan and document review, budgeting, estimating, proposals, contracts, coordination, sub trades, cost tracking, and employee management.

Terry has had the opportunity to work throughout British Columbia, Alberta, and has spent a year and a half working abroad in Puerto Rico. This has allowed him to adapt to different cultures, religions, work methodologies, weather, and site location logistics helping him excel here at K2 Electric Ltd.

Chris Ostberg - Operations Manager/Project Manager, Power Division

Chris completed his electrical apprenticeship with K2 Electric Ltd. obtaining his Journeyman Electrician Certificate in 2006. He worked primarily in the wood products industry as a Construction Electrician / Foreman for five years with K2 Electric Ltd.

Chris also worked for BC Hydro Construction Services from 2007-2015 where he spent three and a half of those years as the head Electrical Foreman for the Northern Interior. He was responsible for overseeing all construction activities of the Electrical Department’s substation and generating station projects throughout Northern BC. His projects ranged from emergency equipment replacements to large capital projects such as substation capacity upgrades and substation voltage conversion projects. His eight plus years as both an electrician and supervisor with BC Hydro Construction Services provide a very strong technical background in substation construction, as well as a thorough understanding of BC Hydro’s system, standards, policies, and construction procedures.

Chris came back to work with K2 Electric Ltd. in 2015 to start up the Power Division and focus on the growing high voltage construction industry. Since then, he has completed dozens of substation construction projects for both BC Hydro and private customers.

Conner Greenlees -  Operations Manager/Project Manager, Electrical Division

Conner started with K2 Electric Ltd in 2011. He worked as an apprentice with K2 till 2016 when he received his red seal. Conner has moved up within K2 quickly, going from apprentice to tradesman to foreman and site supervisor all the way to his current position as operations manager of the electrical division. Conner has developed a wide knowledge in industrial electrical construction which has made him a vital part of our team. Since joining us Conner has worked in many industries including sawmills, pulp and paper, mining and bio energy systems.

Lonnie Douglas, CHSC -  Safety Coordinator

Lonnie has been with K2 Electric Ltd since 2004. He has worked as a Construction Electrician, Project Supervisor, Project Superintendent and Safety Coordinator. In 2009, Lonnie became a member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineers and in 2011 received the designation of Certified Health and Safety Consultant. In 2015, Lonnie achieved his A FSR designation from the BC Safety Authority.

Lonnie has been in the trade since 1988, starting as an Apprentice Maintenance Electrician in a sawmill. After becoming a Journeyman in 1992, he worked at three separate interior sawmills, and one coastal sawmill in BC. While at these mills he worked from Shift Electrician up to Maintenance Superintendent. At each of these mills he was an active member of the Safety Committee.

Lonnie is an active member of  K2 field operations, playing a key role in safety coordination. Lonnie is also an active member of the Safety Committee at K2 Electric Ltd.

Richard Bolton – Senior Estimator / Project Manager

Richard has worked for K2 Electric Ltd. since 2000 as an Electrician, Project Supervisor, and Project Manager. He has been in the Electrical trade since 1986, and has held a Journeyman Industrial Electrical License since 1992. With extensive experience in the Mining, Oil and Gas, Sawmill and Pulp and Paper industries, Richard’s organization and budgeting skills are now used to estimate, plan, and schedule K2’s Projects. Richard has a strong control and programming background, is proficient with AutoCad and plays a key role in K2 Electric Design and Build Projects.

Brad Janse - Estimator

Brad is currently an estimator with K2 Electric Ltd. and has been with the company since early 2000. He started his apprenticeship with K2 in the same year and received his Journeyman Certificate in 2005. After working out in the field for many years, Brad started working in the purchasing department from 2006 to 2007. After returning to sawmill construction for a few more years, he once again returned to purchasing in 2010 and stayed until 2017. In the spring of 2017, Brad began to assist with the growing estimating needs of upcoming projects.

During his time at K2, Brad has also been heavily involved in the maintenance of all the computers and technology in the office. He is also involved with the pre-organizing of K2’s projects by completing control cable sheets, lamacoids, and wire tags offsite to keep costs under budget.

Dawn Caswell - Controller

Dawn is an experienced senior financial leader both at a strategic and operational level with a strong track record over 25 years in all facets of corporate management. Her background spans a broad range of industries including industrial construction, manufacturing, transportation and mining. Key responsibilities of the positions she has held include managerial accounting, corporate communication, safety and quality management, industrial first aid, fleet management, facilities management, material management, information systems, project management, business process innovation, human resources and administration. Dawn is proficient in the PMI (Project Management Institute) methodology to apply consistency relevant to project size and scope. Well developed awareness, communication and relationship building skills support project completion on time and within budget.

As a life long learner, Dawn enthusiastically embraces new opportunities to dive in where there is a need to get things done. With a resourceful attitude, she has cultivated a diverse skill set that supports developing, driving and managing business transformation.
